Rusty Urushi Plate Small

This series, called “Sabi Urushi” (Rusty looking lacquer), is made by applying special lacquer to the molded ash wood many times (six times or more!). It looks like a stone, but of course it's a tree, so it's very light, and when you lift it, you'll be surprised at the gap. The surface looks rough, but the texture is very smooth.

Just the right size for a bread plate. In Japan, perfect size for serving plate in Izakaya style.

Please hand wash with natural type detergent. Please make sure it’s well dried before store it. Direct sunlight may affect the color of wood.
